On June 10 2009 I will leave the cathedral of Rouen, in northern France, and begin my own circumnavigation. My route will take me across Europe to the Black Sea, up into the Ukraine and Russia, to Kazakhstan, and the Uygur region of northwestern China, with this first leg culminating in Shanghai. A flight will then put me in Bangkok, from where I will ride down through Malaysia to Singapore, and a flight to New Zealand.

I will ride from the bottom to the top of New Zealand, touching Wellington as the first part of a pair of antipodal points, the second being the Spanish capital of Madrid.
I will leave New Zealand for Vancouver, Canada, riding down through the United States and then across to New London, before crossing the Atlantic for Lisbon, and a return to Rouen Cathedral.
